Spruill Farm Landing
If you enjoy spectacular
sunsets, fishing for white perch or catfish, wading and splashing in
pristine sound waters, napping on a sandy beach, being scolded by
Osprey nesting in very old Bald Cypress trees growing nearby,
listening to the chorus of owls at night, cooking fish over a fire
pit and spotting eagles soaring overhead, this campsite is calling
In addition to a
breathtaking view of the Albemarle Sound that you will never forget,
other amenities provided at this waterside site include: a fire pit
and a porta potty as well as the added treat of a number of fruit
yielding plants (like figs and blueberries) in season.
This scenic site at the end of our Roanoke River Paddle Trail
provides a much-needed public water access to the Albemarle Sound.
Note: The Albemarle is the largest freshwater sound in the world
with eleven rivers that flow directly into it.

Special notices relevant to this campsite:
1) There is a combination lock on the gate to this site and those
who reserve this one will need to obtain the combination from our
RRP reservation specialist, Anne Lunsford, at (252/792-3790).
2) Campers that bring dogs/pets to this site must keep them on a
leash and/or in their sight at all times. Unsupervised pets running
loose are not allowed.
